  • During the European Renaissance era modern ladies used lemons as a way of coloring their lips.
  • There were periods in the past, when lemons were so rare, that even kings gave them as a gift to each other.
  • The lemon grown in 2003 in Israel became with its weight of 5,265 kg the heaviest lemon in the world. The other measurements were: circumference 74 cm and height 35 cm.
